Who we are and why you should talk to us
Nautilus Yachting has been operating since 1992. It was founded by Howard Richardson and is now owned and run by Jonathan Shears. We have been organising sailing holidays throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean for nearly 30 years and are now the leading independent yacht charter agency in the UK.
Nautilus Yacht Sales, run by Howard Richardson and Jonathan Shears, is the independent specialist in Yacht Ownership Schemes. We work with all the top charter companies worldwide and are trusted by them to sell new yachts and catamarans into their charter fleets.
We are not tied to one charter fleet. We will talk you through the different schemes on offer from all the top charter companies and help you chose the one that’s right for you. Unlike the fleets themselves who are focused on the yachts they want in their fleet, we are focused on you and your individual aspirations.
Howard Richardson
Howard Richardson founded Nautilus Yachting in 1992 and many of our clients have met him at Boat Shows. Although he has now retired from the sailing holiday business, he is actively involved in Nautilus Yacht Sales and can advise you on charter yacht ownership with the best charter companies in the world. He’ll give you clear and unbiased advice on the best deal for you, negotiate on your behalf and guide you through the process.
Jonathan Shears
Jonathan Shears is the Managing Director of Nautilus Yachting and has been with the company since 2004. Running a successful yacht charter company gives him a wealth of insider knowledge about the charter industry. He deals with the fleets on a daily basis and is ideally placed to advise on the best deals.
